Express Employment International Case Study

Express Employment International has a big long-term goal: to put a million people to work every year. The staffing company’s reach is already global with more than 850 franchise locations in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

One of the keys to their successful business is communicating to international stakeholders. With that in mind, Express wanted professional audio visual technology in four training rooms. Using this type of technology was a major upgrade for Express, and it would increase their efficiency by allowing their staff to access the same information simultaneously from different locations.

Challenge

Express had no true professional AV technology system in their four training rooms. They were using various pieces of prosumer-grade technology. While the old tech was a hybrid of consumer and professional-grade, it wasn’t meant for heavy usage, and displays did not have automations to help protect the investment for long term use.

Another challenge was getting their current technology to work with other technology. Express didn’t have the integrated flexibility of a system that was built to work together. That also brought up reliability challenges for Express. Staff members didn’t know if they would be able to get the technology to properly work for specific meetings and trainings.

Because the technology was purchased at big box stores, when Express had issues with it, there was no one they could rely on for help. With their lofty goal on the horizon, Express Employment International deserved to have a team of professionals behind them.

Solution

Cory’s Spaces has worked with many clients who are looking for an upgrade from consumer-grade to professional-grade AV technology. Professional-grade systems are designed to provide high-end features and cutting-edge technology which helps businesses create a better audio, video, and communications experience. Professional-grade AV can also be customized to fit a business’s unique needs and also allows the ability to adjust their technology over time.

Cory’s worked with Express to answer their international communications needs with the right technology. Each of the four rooms received an audio system, a control system and a video system.

The audio system includes a Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital lapel microphone, which offers more range than any other wireless system available now, and six ceiling speakers that can be used for virtual conferences, voice paging, or background music. A 2-channel amplifier allows the ceiling speakers to work seamlessly.

In the control system, a QSC 7” touch screen gives Express the ability to control the volume and turn the system on and off with a simple touch of the button. Each room also received a 8-space equipment rack and the QSC control processor, allowing three inputs and two outputs.

The video system features a new Panasonic projector. The 7000-Lumen laser projector is mounted to the ceiling and projects directly onto Express walls, so no projection screen was required.

Cory’s programmed this integrated system to make sure all the features of the technology worked together easily and smoothly.

Result

Express’s new system has improved communication, created higher productivity and allowed more efficient collaboration. Investing in high-quality AV ensures Express will have less headaches over the reliability of their system, especially when working with staff and clients around the globe.

Cory’s has already trained Express staff on how to use the system, but if they ever need additional training, we’re there. Plus, Cory’s will be checking in twice a year on their technology, performing any preventative maintenance to keep the system working as intended.

The professional-grade AV technology has removed many barriers Express was facing as they work to reach their goal of putting a million people to work every year.
